The longest beach in Gipuzkoa at 2.5 km, Zarautz is the Basque Country's most popular surf town. Multiple sandbars produce consistent peaks along the entire stretch, making it ideal for beginners and intermediates. Surf schools line the promenade. In summer the beach gets crowded, but there's always a peak with space. The town has a vibrant surf culture, great pintxos bars, and easy access from San Sebastian.
