Mauritius's most iconic surf break and one of the Indian Ocean's legendary lefts. A fast, hollow left-hander that peels over a shallow live coral reef on the southern end of the bay. Needs a solid southwest swell to wrap into the bay and light offshore northeast winds to hold the face open. Made famous by 'The Forgotten Island of Santosha' surf film in the 1970s. Expect territorial locals and packed lineups on the rare good swells — respect the pecking order. For experienced surfers with reef knowledge only.
