A world-class, hollow left-hander breaking over razor-sharp reef at the pass near Le Morne peninsula. Waves can reach up to 6 metres on the biggest days and unfold over 150 metres, offering long, technical, barrel-heavy rides. The shallow reef is extremely unforgiving — wipeouts here are punishing. On an outgoing tide, a massive volume of lagoon water drains through this narrow pass, creating dangerously strong currents. Also a renowned kitesurf and windsurf spot. Expert surfers only — this is not a wave that tolerates mistakes.
